Overview

This article will show you how to set up a poll template.

Important Note 

This is one example of many options. There can be many customizations that may look different. 

Instructions 

1. Navigate to Alerting/Poll Templates
   
   
2. Click the blue plus sign
   
3. Fill out the Template name and Folder 
   
   
4. Select Poll Form
   
   
5. Toggle Advanced Options (optional)
   
   
   • Build Template 
     
     Note: Template can be built out like a Custom Form. Custom Forms can be assigned as the default forms and accessed by specific Roles. 
   • Template: The template being used
   • Sender: Who sends the alert
   • Recipients: Map Selection: The area the alert will be sent out to
   • Recipients: Groups or individual users who will receive the alert
   • Subject: Subject of the alert
   • Message: The body message of the alert
   • Priority: Priority of the alert
   • Delivery Method: What method the alert will be sent
   • Social Media: Send alert to social media channels
   • Attachments: Ability to add attachments
     • Auto Fill: Automatically populate saved information
     • Read Only: Information is viewable but not editable 
     • Hidden: Section is not viewable when creating the alert
     • Required for Sender: Required fields that must be populated
     • Trash can icon: Remove from the template
6. Fill out Alert Sender Info 
   
7. Select Recipients (required) 
   
   
8. Adust Delivery Method as needed 
   
   • Mobile App: The Konexus app
   • myAlerts App: The AlertSense My Alerts app
   • Email: Email address
   • Text Message: Text/SMS message
   • Voice: Voice call 
   • Fax: Fax message
   • Emergency Telephone Notification: Data imports from white and yellow page phone numbers
     • Note: Emergency Telephone Notification can only be used for true emergencies as it is not "subscribed" users. To send alerts to this channel, you need to select the area on the map. 
9. Fill out Poll Fields 
   
   • Subject: This is the Subject of the Poll 
   • Poll Question: Enter the Poll question to be asked
   • Poll Responses: Enter Options of the Responses. There is a minimum of 2 poll responses and a max of 5 poll responses.
   • Add Response Option: Click this to add more response options 
10. Review and Click Save or Save As
