Overview
Once you have been approved to send IPAWS messages, you will receive two emails required to set up your IPAWS notification system. One will contain a .zip file holding a .txt file and a .jks file, and the other instructions on how to access the files in the .zip file.
Instructions
- Download the .zip Folder to your desktop
- Unzip the Folder
- Note: You will not be able to extract the .txt file using Windows. We recommend using 7-Zip to extract these files.
- Enter the password in your email to unzip the folder and click OK
- Open the .txt file
- Note: The keys in this file are required to set up IPAWS on your CivicReady site
- Private Key: This is your private key password
- Note: This password is extremely sensitive. Do not share this password.
- Keystore: This is required to access the Java Keystore Container
- Expires: The expiration date of your digital certificate
- Private Key: This is your private key password
- Note: The keys in this file are required to set up IPAWS on your CivicReady site
- Log into your CivicReady site and click Posts
- Click IPAWS Keys
- Click + New IPAWS Key
- Complete in the fields
- Key Title: The name of this IPAWS Key
- Attach key file: Your .jks file
- Keystore Password: The Keystore Password in your .txt file
- Key Passowrd: They key in your .txt file
- COG ID: The test ID found in your email
- Environment: Determines whether messages are live or demo
- Timezone: Your local timezone
- Click Browse
- Attach the .jks file in your unzipped folder
- Click Add
