RSS Feeds

Embed an RSS Feed

Overview

You can use the .RSS feed link to embed it on your own page.

If you need to create an RSS feed for public groups, view our article.

If you need to create an RSS feed for private or secret groups, view our article.

Instructions

Examplehttp://civicplus.com.

Embed code: This is a custom-developed embed by the client. The code on their page uses a free RSS reader called Feedreader and also uses the CivicReady's Network admin panel's RSS setting that allows you to select "body only" for the messages in your RSS feeds.

The code on their page, which you can view yourself by choosing view source with your browser, is:

<!-- /com.omniupdate.div -->  </div> <div id="RightContentRow2" class="RightContentRow2"> <!-- com.omniupdate.div label="MessageBox" path="/Includes/MessageBox/MessageBox.html" --> <iframe src="http://eagleone.hindscc.edu/feedreader/" frameborder="0" marginheight="0" marginwidth="0" scrolling="no" class="RightContentRow2Iframe"></iframe> <a href="https://regroup.hindscc.edu"> <img src="/Images/Icons/Regroup.png" alt="Regroup" class="rssregroup" align="right" /> </a>  <!-- /com.omniupdate.div -->

Note: You can choose to make the RSS feeds show only the body of messages (like HindsCC has done with their "recent messages" embed), via the Network Admin page.

RSS

Another option has been made available for the RSS.

If clients want to have the RSS feed read from the SMS box instead of the standard email box, a new URL will allow them to do that.

Example: https://codedname.regroup.com/networks/codedname/groups/groupname/texts.rss

Note: Be aware that we have changed the label from Campus to Location.
