Every phone call delivered through CivicReady, now our Mass Notification system, is recorded in Alert History. Each contact is listed in the Alert History for each message sent with the Status delivery, time/date stamp, type, and number contacted.
Call Status Definitions
The table below explains what each call status means.
Call Status in Alert History | Definition |
---|---|
New | Voice call is being created |
Queued | The call is queued for delivery |
Pending | The call is ready to be sent |
In Progress | Voice call is in the process of sending and is ringing, has been answered or is in process of updating delivery status |
Successful | The call was completed successfully |
Answered - Key Pressed | The recipient answered the phone and pressed a key to repeat or confirm the message. The call was delivered. |
Answered - No Key Pressed |
"Answered - No Key Press" will often be returned regardless of whether the call was answered by a person or by voicemail (answering machine).
This is due to the high percentage (about 25%) of calls that are miscategorized (for example, the call provider can't tell the difference between a human voice and an answering machine voice). The call was delivered. |
Busy | The phone attempt resulted in a busy signal and no call was delivered. |
