Group Administrator Permission Levels

Overview

CivicReady allows you to assign specific Permission Levels to Group Administrators:

  • Full Group Administrator
  • Limited Group Administrator
  • Authorized Sender

User Rights

Full Group Administrator

These users can:

  • Post notifications
  • Approve pending topics
  • Approve pending members
  • Edit group settings
  • Manage group users

Limited Group Administrator

These users can:

  • Post notifications
  • Approve pending topics
  • Approve pending members

Notes:

  • On the CivicReady Home page, the Create a Group option will not appear.
  • If this user belongs to more than one group, they will not be able to post a message to any group if they do not have admin permissions for the group.
  • The Limited Admin will only be able to post messages, approve members, and topics and see group files.
  • The Limited Admin will not be able to view or edit any group members contact information.

Authorized Sender

These users can:

  • Post notifications

Notes:

  • On the CivicReady Home page, the Create a Group option will not appear.
  • On the Group Home page, the Authorized Sender can only post messages and see group files. All other group menu options are hidden.
  • If this user belongs to more than one group they will not be able to post a message to any group if they do not have admin permissions for the group.
  • This user will also not be able to view or edit any group members contact information.

Note: If the Group Type is set to Open Discussion, the Post Notifications option will not be available since Open Discussion allows all admins/members to freely post to the group.
