Email-In Scenarios

General 

  1. A group where the email-in is not set for the second option and the sender's email is not present in our system, the following info email sends:

    You are using an email address that is not recognized by the system. Please add your email address here: https://codedname.regroup.com/preferences/email_preferences

  2. The user is not part of the group and email is present in the system, the following message sends:

    You are using an email address that is not recognized by the system. Please add your email address here: https://codedname.regroup.com/preferences/email_preferences

  3. For a group where the email-in option is set as the third option (Disable this feature), and the user is part of our system, the following message sends:

    This feature has been disabled by the administrator for the group. Please contact the administrator

  4. A group is selected and tried to put the same group name and email-in option is selected as the third option (Disable this feature), the following message sends:

    The group does not exist. Please verify the email address of the group.

Announcement-Only Groups

  1. A user, with no post permission (authorized sender access) and who is not a network admin, is part of a group whose type is set to announcement-only, the following message sends:

    The group is "announcement-only", which means that only group administrators with post permission can post to it. To see whether the group is announcement-only, go to the group page. If you want to reply to only the administrator, use his or her email address which can often be found in the signature.

  2. A user is part of a group whose type is set to announcement-only, but who does not have a confirmed email address. The following message sends:

    The group is "announcement-only", which means that only group administrators with post permission can post to it. To see whether the group is announcement-only, go to the group page. Open and Moderated Groups

  1. With privacy as private: User is not a member of that group and is not the network admin of that network when the user does an email-in. The following message sends: 

    You are not a member of the group. Login to https://codedname.regroup.com to see your groups.

  2. With privacy other than private: User is not a member of the group and is not a network admin when the user does an email-in. The following message sends: 

    You are not a member of the group. Login to https://codedname.regroup.com to see your groups.

  3. User whose email is not confirmed and did email-in. The following message sends:

    Your email address is not confirmed. Please log in, send yourself a confirmation email, and click on the link to confirm. Do that here: https://demo.rails.regroup.com/preferences/email_preferences

  4. User is not verified (This is for the particular domain verifications, like: .edu). The following message sends: 

    You are not verified as a member of this network. Certain networks require that you add to your account an email address from their domain, for example @school.edu or @company.com. You can confirm whether you are verified at your preferences page here: https://codedname.regroup.com/preferences/email_preferences
