Short Codes

CivicReady Short-Codes

Overview

When a message is sent by Text/SMS, the caller ID will show up as a number or short-code.

The reason for this is that cell phone providers recognize these short-codes as priority traffic.

List of Short Codes

For Emergency Traffic, the last digit of the recipient's phone number determines the short code.

  • 1 : 31002
  • 2 : 31098
  • 3 : 31389
  • 4 : 35527
  • 5 : 50753
  • 6 : 58848
  • 7 : 66219
  • 8 : 66893
  • 9 : 66219
  • 0 : 66893

For Day to Day/non-emergency codes, the last digit of the recipient's phone number also determines the short code.

  • 0-4 : 91972
  • 5-9 : 94902

If you would like to make sure that your recipients know who the message comes from, you can edit the message in the top email box or in the Text (SMS) box to show the name of your organization and/or group.
